EMPATHIC PRODUCTIONS TECH REVIEWER
Audition brief
We are searching for a tech reviewer to feature on our website. The role would be on-going, ad-hoc and would involve filmed reviews of video-production-related gadgets and equipment.
The successful applicant would need to show the following:
- Positive and infectious character
- Technical knowledge and know-how. Ideally a technical background of some sort
- Proficiency at ad-libbing. There won’t always be a script!
- Being able to project honesty and impartiality: you are not selling, just reviewing
- Confident and able to be relaxed in a studio/closed environment with video equipment
- Clear and concise diction
We would ask applicants who are interested to send in a video of the following mock review:
THE UNBOXING OF A LIGHTBULB
It can be any type of bulb, from a small LED to massive globe. You don’t have to buy anything, you can wrap up any bulb you have already and pretend you’ve just received it in the post.
Remember. You are not selling the product, just reviewing it, and we want to know your first impressions of the light you have chosen. Be creative!
